Ball Handling Coach and Performer Jesse "Snake" Muench has made a career for himself based on his "sick" ball-handling skills.
Jesse cought a taste of our gear and loved it so much he has started wearing it in some of his ball-handling training videos. So we decided to do a contest with him to see which of his videos people thought was the best! Everyone who votes has a chance to win a pair of our DRYV Baller 2.0 Shorts, too.
If you've been a POINT 3 fan for a while, you know we focus on the performance of our gear over everything else. But technical performance isn't the only part of the game. If you don't look good on the court, you won't feel good, and you won't play up to your potential. That's why we continue to launch new colorways for our performance apparel, whether it's in the shorts, socks, tops, or warm-ups.
A couple of weeks ago, we wrote about the best NBA ballplayers from the A. Here's a look at some of the our city's best young players still ripping it up on the college parquet. Who do you think is the best?
Georgia is one of the nation's best areas for High School basketball, evident by the number of NBA players that have come through the state. Our POINT 3 Alphas over at The Skill Factory work with some of the best players Georgia has to offer. Two of the state's newest stars, Florida State signee Malik Beasley, and Xavier signee Kaiser Gates, are great examples of players who have dedicated themselves to continuous hard work and game improvement.
Check out video and our exclusive interview with the two rising stars!
I grew up in New York City, playing ball outdoors virtually year round. True hoop-heads know that even without a gym of our own, we never let weather get in the way of our game.
Apart from the sting of the ball on the tips of my fingers and a constantly runny nose, there’s one thing I always remember from working out in the cold – the gear was never right. Coats were too bulky, sweatpants wore out (anyone else get those holes in the knees?) and hoods blocked my peripheral vision.
It’s because we know there are ballplayers out there working on their jumper in sub 40 degree temps that we made the DRYV Warm-Up Suit.
Here at POINT 3, we stand for the .3 seconds that is the difference on the court between a block and a charge, a steal and a foul, the back of the rim and the sound of the net.
Last night, Courtney Lee of the Memphis Grizzlies hit an amazing reverse alley-oop tip-in off a Vince Carter inbounds pass, helping his team come back from 26 points down!
In just under a year, we've secured more than 150 teams around the country wearing our DRYV Team Uniforms, including some of the top programs here in our hometown Atlanta, like Top Notch, The Skill Factory, and the Atlanta Hawks Youth Basketball Programs. And now we've just delivered our first international uniforms, to the PuHu Juniors club in Vantaa, Finland!
No one's perfect, not even LeBron in his own homecoming.
And in such a high pressure situation, with people constantly instructing you to do things, people make mistakes. And when people of my own ilk make one, I have to step up for them.
In the 2nd annual TSF Madness HS All-Star game, St. Francis teammates and fellow D1 signees Malik Beasley and Kaiser Gates put on a show, winning the POINT 3 performer of the night awards.
We caught up with the two St. Francis teammates after the game to gain some insight on their off-season training and how they want this season to end!
Updated (Nov. 3): Watch the very emotional moment as Lauren score the first basket of the NCAA Basketball season vs. Hiram College.
To some it's just a sport. Maybe an activity you do with your friends. Something to do in your spare time. A way to stay in shape.
But to a lot of us, including everyone here at POINT 3, basketball means more. It's something that brings us together, gives us a chance to fight for something as a group, and makes people more connected. There is a sense of comradery around the game that few other things can come close to.
The story of Lauren Hill is an inspiring one, and one that touched us here at POINT 3 as well.
In case you didn't know, Atlanta - or The A, as we locals call it - is a hoops hotbed. The city produces some of the best high school and AAU programs in the country, and many college and pro ballplayers rise up through the ranks every year. With the NBA season kicking off, here's a look at some of the current players from the A that will be representing in the League this season.
The NBA season is finally here! Our POINT 3 Alphas were hard at work all summer getting some of the NBA's best players ready for tipoff. Over the next few days, we'll drop a few blog posts that showcase some of the great names that have worked with our Alphas. Our second edition of the series features the OHoops crew. Orlando Hoops Inc. was founded in 1999 by coach Irwin Hudson.

Starting off right here at home, our first post of the series features the Atlanta based The-Skill-Factory, also known as "TSF."
A crew of former Syracuse hoops stars and role players are droppin’ dimes and swishin’ J’s across Europe. While it may not be the same as balling in a packed Carrier Dome, these guys are getting paid to do what they love on the old continent. They’re hooping in at least five countries, with a few guaranteed head-to-head alumni matchups.
Team tryouts are typically just a couple of weeks away. You’ve worked on your game all summer long, now it’s time to reap the benefits and make the squad!
Our POINT 3 Alpha trainers work with players at all levels, ranging from grade schoolers to the best of the best. They’re happy to share some of their insight and years of experience in helping players like Dwight Howard, James Harden, Chandler Parsons, Ryan Kelly, and others make big steps in their careers!
The whole team here is pumped to launch the new look of POINT 3 Basketball online. It took lots of planning, months of work, and plenty of last-minute tweaking, but we know this is a step up from where we've been.
What’s up, ballplayers!
I’m Sam Meyerkopf and I handle all things social media here at POINT 3. So if you’ve had a tweet replied to or an Instagram post you liked (or hated), it was probably my doing. But my basketball life extends far beyond the sweat proof fabric at POINT 3, as I coach, write, and scout basketball, and right now I’m doing that from Europe.
I’ll be writing here and on my site about some of your favorite college stars who are now makin’ it rain on the old continent; looking at the differences in basketball skills training in Europe vs. the U.S.; as well as doing some scouting and trying to find the next Dirk .
If you're serious about your game, you're ready to put in the work to get better, no matter what level you play at. That's the sign of a true ballplayer.
We've wanted to bring our Alpha A-game to a wider audience for a long time, so we're pumped to bring you this video with Bball Breakdown , one of the biggest and most popular sports channels on Youtube.
Check out this video featuring Triple Threat Academy's Tony Freccero!
Every player that takes the game seriously knows that the pre-season is just as important as any other point in the season. As a matter a fact, some would argue that it’s the most important. If you fail to accomplish your goals in the pre-season, you’ll likely end up heading into the basketball season unprepared and unconfident. Tryouts are right around the corner, and we want to make sure you’re doing everything you need to be doing to prepare.
We tapped a few of our Alpha basketball trainers to give some advice on pre-season training. We will be posting these answers throughout the next few weeks!
Team USA captured the gold after a dominating performance throughout the tournament, including in the final against Serbia. The much-anticipated matchup between USA and Spain never materialized, but the U.S. didn’t leave anything to chance.
Why wasn’t anyone able to match Team USA on the court?
During the summer we hit more than 25 basketball events in 11 states, catching a glimpse of more than 30,000 players. We want to share some of the things we saw, heard, and learned, so hop on board the POINT 3 van and get ready for some stories from the road!
Our recent patent announcement has generated a lot of interest from the media - and not only the basketball press and bloggers. Take a look at some of the recent media stories talking about the importance of managing your sweat and how it can change the way games are played!
The POINT 3 Alphas are some of the best basketball trainers in the country. They are leaders in the basketball community and are committed to helping players learn to play the game the right way.
Get a taste of Mark's intensity from one of the drills he ran at last weekend's clinic!
On Saturday, August 16, POINT 3 had the honor of hosting a Coaches Clinic in cooperation with the Atlanta Hawks and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). We had planned to hold an hour of open gym at the end of the day, but our speakers and the audience were so engaged that we ran out of time!
Check out some of the most impactful quotes from some of our speakers!
POINT 3 Basketball is super excited to announce that the company has been granted U.S. Patent 8,769,716 on its invention of DRYV® Moisture Control Technology!
